With two wins over the weekend, the Ice reclaimed sole possession of first place in the Northern Conference. Indy, who is 15-2-1 in its last 18 games and 15-2-5 on home ice this year, enters this week's play with a slim three-point lead over Memphis and Tulsa with a big game with the RiverKings looming this Saturday. The margin from top to bottom between the top five teams in the Northern Conference decreased to seven points over the weekend as Amarillo captured five out of a possible six points.

TOGA, TOGA, TOGA: Be a part of the Guinness Book of World Records and the "World's Largest Toga Party" sponsored by Mortgage Group USA and Karma Records, when the Ice hosts the Memphis RiverKings this Saturday at 7:00 p.m. from the Pepsi Coliseum. Prizes will be awarded to several toga wearers and there will be a post-game concert featuring Otis Day & the Knights. Still voted by many as America's #1 Party Band, hits from the group include "Shout," "Louie Louie," "Money," "What I Say" and "Shamma Lamma Ding Dong." The band is best know for their appearance in the 1978 classic, "Animal House," for their toga party rendition of "Shout.

BLISTERING BAIRD: With his 18th goal of the year on Saturday, left winger Jason Baird extended his goal streak to an Ice season-high five games. Baird, who is second on the team in goals and points (41), has seven points (5G, 2A) in his last five games and an impressive 16 points (8G, 8A) in his last 11 outings. Three of his five goals during his five-game stretch have been game-winners giving him six game-winning goals on the year, placing him in a tie for second in the CHL in that department.

SILVER STAYS GOLDEN: Goaltender Shawn Silver returned from the CHL All-Star Game and continued right where he left off as he earned his 20th win of the season on Saturday night. Silver's golden stretch now includes a 12-1-0 record in his last 13 starts to go along with a 1.72 GAA, two shutouts and a .932 save percentage. Overall, he rests second in the CHL in GAA (1.75) and save percentage (.934) and is third in wins and shutouts (4).

"GUP TOUGH": Bryce Classen registered his first multiple goal game of his two-year pro career on Saturday night and has nine goals now on the season...Kevin St. Jacques has four assists in his last two games and 17 points (1G, 16A) in his last 11 games...Randy Holmes is one goal shy of 200 for his pro career and has five points (1G, 4A) in his last four games...Jared Dumba has four points (2G, 2A) in his last three games...Andrew Taylor and Etienne Morin both have three points (1G, 2A) in their last two games...With Friday's win, goaltender Jamie Morris is two wins away from 50 for his Ice career.

NOTES OF IMPORTANCE: During the team's 15-2-1 stretch, Indy has outscored its opponents by a 65-36 margin...The Ice is 20-3-1 when scoring the first goal of the game...Indy remains second in the CHL in goals allowed/game (2.32)...The Ice is 14-0-5 against the Northwest Division this year (Tulsa, Oklahoma City, Amarillo, Wichita)... The Ice is 1-3-1 against Bossier Shreveport this year, 6-0-1 against Wichita and 3-3-0 versus Memphis.

BALANCED ATTACK PROVIDES ICE WITH 5-2 WIN OVER BRAHMAS

* The Ice used a three-goal second period to break the game wide open and received goals from five different sources...Jamie Morris earned the win in net with 19 saves.

ICE SWEEPS BRAHMAS WITH 4-1 WIN

* Bryce Classen led the Ice offensively with a pair of goals, while Jason Baird and Andrew Taylor also lit the lamp...Shawn Silver earned victory #20 in an 18-save effort.
