Laredo Bucks News Release

(1/27/03) All-Stars Eric Schneider, Chris Grenville, Michel Periard and the Bucks capped a brilliant week with a pair of wins against Southeast Division rival Corpus Christi. Including the Dodge CHL All-Star Game, Schneider produced three consecutive three-point nights. Thursday in Oklahoma City, Schneider notched three points in a 10-6 Southern Conference win. Both of Schneider's assists set up goals by teammate and All-Star MVP Chris Grenville. Friday in Corpus Christi, he scored two goals, including the shootout game-winner, and two assists. Saturday, he added two more goals in a 4-2 Bucks win before a capacity crowd of 8,002 at the Laredo Entertainment Center.

Grenville collected five points in two games to move into third place in the CHL scoring race. With 59 points, Grenville trails only Schneider and Memphis' Don Parsons. Grenville's star shone brightest on Thursday when he scored four goals to win Most Valuable Player honors in the All-Star Game. Defenseman Periard had a goal and an assist against Corpus Christi after scoring a goal in Oklahoma City. The three Bucks in attendance combined for six of the South's ten goals in the all-star victory.
