Green Bay, Wis.- Luke VanLanen, a freshman at Valparaiso University and native of Pulaski, Wis. joins University of Louisville outfielder, Logan Taylor from Lexington, Ky., as the newest members of the Bullfrogs. This will mark the first season for both in the Northwoods League.

VanLanen, was a Second Team All-Fox River Classic Conference selection for the Pulaski H.S. Raiders his 2014 senior season. A versatile athlete, he also led his Pulaski team to their first state championship in basketball. He was a four-time letter winner in both sports. After contemplating which sport to play in college, he chose baseball after succeeding in a series of showcases. As a freshman at Valparaiso, VanLanen has contributed three appearances out of the bullpen including his first collegiate win on March 3rd against Western Carolina.

"It just makes sense that I would go to the Bullfrogs this summer," said VanLanen. "That way I can go home and play baseball in a great league. Getting as many innings as I can will really help me, and develop my off-speed pitches. Experience is what I'm looking for."

Logan Taylor is a sophomore outfielder for Head Coach Dan McDonnell's Omaha seeking Cardinals. A 2013 graduate of Lexington Catholic H.S., Taylor was pegged first-team All-State his senior campaign. In that year, Taylor hit for a .341 AVG and swiped 22 stolen bases. As a college freshman, Taylor made 23 starts, primarily in centerfield, with a .238 AVG and .351 OBP. Also a standout defender, Taylor has started seven games in 2015 for a Louisville team ranked top 10 in the nation. Taylor spent the 2014 summer in the Coastal Plain League.

"I've heard [the Northwoods League] attracts tons and fans, it's a big deal, and I'm really excited about going," said Taylor. "It's a really good league with great teams and cooler than North Carolina. I'll be ready to jump right in when it's time."

The Bullfrogs will open up the 2015 season at home on May 26th against the La Crosse Loggers. Group tickets, season tickets and 7-game packages are on sale now. The Bullfrogs off-season hours are Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm. For more information please visit www.greenbaybullfrogs.com.
