
Proceeds from Bulldogs Charity Golf Classic to be Donated to McMaster Children\'s Hospital

The Hamilton Bulldogs are excited to announce that proceeds from their 2nd Annual Hamilton Bulldogs Charity Golf Classic will be donated to McMaster Children's Hospital. This year's Hamilton Bulldogs Charity Golf Classic will take place on Monday, August 18th at Willow Valley Golf Course, Mount Hope, Ontario. The tournament will feature new Bulldogs' head coach, Doug Jarvis and the 2002-03 AHL Most Valuable Player, Jason Ward.
"The Hamilton Bulldogs continue to be active in giving back to the community, and we are proud to announce that proceeds from the annual Hamilton Bulldogs Charity Golf Classic will be donated to McMaster Children's Hospital," said president, Steve Katzman. "A mandate of our ownership group and this organization continues to be one of community involvement and participation; to that end we are proud to partner once again with McMaster Children's Hospital."
The Bulldogs have been involved with McMaster Children's Hospital since the hockey club's inception into the AHL in 1996. The annual "TD Canada Trust Smiles on Ice Game" has raised approximately $200,000 since its beginnings.
"We already enjoy an extraordinary partnership with the Hamilton Bulldogs through its "Smiles on Ice" program." said Dr. Peter Steer, President, McMaster Children's Hospital. "We are delighted by their further commitment to support excellence in pediatric healthcare for the children of south central Ontario. The golf tournament portion of the 2nd Annual Hamilton Bulldogs Charity Golf Classic is completely sold-out. There are still tickets remaining for the âDinner Auction' to follow the golf tournament.
