
Prizes galore available at PrairieThunder Fan Appreciation Night

A one-year lease for the use of a new car donated by Extreme Nissan of Bloomington highlights the list of prizes to be given away Saturday night during the final game of the season for the Bloomington PrairieThunder as part of Fan Appreciation Night at U.S. Cellular Coliseum.
The car will be given away during one of the two intermissions. Ten finalists from the season-long Chuck-a-Puck promotion will have a chance to win the leased vehicle. The 10 finalists will be brought to center ice to draw from a bag of keys and see if the key they selected will start the car.
Among the various items to be given away throughout the game, which begins at 7:05 p.m. and pits the PrairieThunder against Flint, are airline vouchers from American Airlines and certificates for a Caribbean cruise for two. The event is being co-sponsored by the Pantagraph.
Other items include a Pepsi golf bag, a gift certificate for a Calloway golf iron with four golf balls, a wireless drill, DVD players, PrairieThunder merchandise, autographed memorabilia by NASCAR drivers Jeff Burton and Reed Sorenson, hotel stays, car wash certificates from Parkway Auto Laundry, and gift certiicates from Schooners, Times Past Inn, Pub II and Fox & Hounds.
PrairieThunder game jerseys also will be available in a raffle during the game and through a live auction after the game.
The PrairieThunder will finish its first season ranked third in average attendance in the 10-team United Hockey League. The PrairieThunder has averaged 3,720 people for 36 games. A total of 133,926 have passed through the U.S. Cellular Coliseum turnstiles. Tickets are on sale for the game at the U.S. Cellular Coliseum box office.
