Pride take series from Surf 3-1

Nashua, NH- Brandon Jackson came up to pinch-hit with the bases loaded in the ninth inning and connected for a grand slam the Surf were down 8-3 before the blast and at one point led the game 3-0. The grand slam put the game within one-run then with two on, one out, Trey Beamon hit a hard line drive right into the glove of first basemen DJ Boston who caught it and fired it to second base for a game ending double-play.

The Surf scored eight runs in the ninth inning the day before, and four in the ninth today. The team can score late in the game but it wasn't enough as Nashua takes the opening series three games to one.

The Surf play in Bridgeport Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday before heading home on Friday. the Tuesday game will start at 4:05 pm and you can tune in to 1490 WUSS and hear all the live game action.

Trey Beamon was the most productive hitter for the Surf during the series as he reached base ten times.

Dave Carroll will take the mound for the Surf tuesday.
