
Pride Sign Duplissie and Baker

(Nashua, NH, June 9, 2006) - Nashua Pride team officials announced today that Bryan Duplissie and Jamie Baker have both signed contracts.
Duplissie a 2006 ABCA third team All-American spent the 2006 season with Franklin Pierce College and batted .344 with 13 homeruns and set a single season school record with 62 RBI. The East Swanzey, NH native had a slugging percentage of .612 and an on base percentage of .400 while splitting time at first base and pitcher. Duplissie compiled an ERA of 3.24 with a record of 7-1 in 66.2 innings pitched while striking out 45. Duplissie was named the most outstanding player in the 2006 Northeast Regional and in 2005 he was a third team NCBWA All-American and the Northeast 10 Player of the year.
At Wheaton College in 2006 Jamie Baker posted an ERA of 1.80, struck out 32 batters, and compiled a 4-1 record with 10 saves. The Boxford, MA native walked just 6 batters and opponents hit only .163 against him in 25 innings pitched. Baker was named to the 2006 New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association All-Region second team, the 2006 NEWMAC All-Conference second team, and was also named to the 2006 New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association All-Star Game.
To make room on the roster the Pride officials have announced the release of OF Jabe Bergeron and P Ken Jobin.
