Price Launches Biscuits to Walk-Off Win

MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Robby Price launched a 1-0 fastball from Loek Van Mil (0-4) over the right field wall for a two-run walk-off home run in a 4-3 win for the Biscuits (39-35, 2-2) over the Pensacola Blue Wahoos (27-46, 2-2) Saturday night at Riverwalk Stadium.

The Biscuits entered the ninth inning trailing 3-2. Keith Castillo lined out to left to start the inning. Kevin Kiermaier followed with a soft liner to right field. With Yourmen Rodriguez playing deep in right, Kiermaier was able to stretch the base-hit to a double. Price followed with his second walk-off hit of the season.

Montgomery got on the board first with an RBI-single from Robi Estrada in the fifth inning. The Wahoos quickly came back with one in the sixth to tie the game. Mikie Mahtook answered with a go-ahead RBI-double in the seventh to make it 2-1 Biscuits.

Pensacola was able to plate two runs in the eighth inning to make it a 3-2 Wahoo-lead.

Victor Mateo went 5.2 innings while allowing one run and striking out six with only one walk. Mateo got the no-decision in one of his best outings of the season.

C.J. Riefenhauser (3-0) went 1.1 innings without surrendering a run for the win.

The comeback win marks the first time this season the Biscuits have trailed after eight innings and won at home.

The rubber-match is Sunday evening at 6:05. RHP Jake Floethe will take the mound for the Biscuits while the Wahoos will send RHP Josh Smith to the mound.
