
Preview: RGV and El Paso Battle It out on Wednesday Night

EDINBURG, Texas - Rio Grande Valley FC (5-3-2, 17 pts.) and El Paso Locomotive FC (4-0-3, 15 pts.) are set for a midweek matchup on Wednesday, June 30 at H-E-B Park. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m. CST.
The Toros will host El Paso for the second time in franchise history. The overall record between both squads stands at 1-2-1. RGV FC leads the Mountain Division while El Paso trails closely in second, both fighting for the top seed.
RGV FC: The Toros fell short to FC Tulsa on Friday night after a 1-2 loss at H-E-B Park. Baboucarr Njie was able to score his first professional goal, but the squad was not able to capitalize on the opportunities faced. Rodrigo Lopez continues to lead the Toros side with 16 created chances, adding nine total shots. In addition, he has given 540 total passes with 16 being key passes, earning an 81.1 passing accuracy rate. James Murphy being the main contributor has dished out three assists thus far while being able to create 10 chances. Being one of the most dangerous RGV players on the pitch, Wan Kuzain leads with 15 total shots, also scoring twice with his left foot. Tyler Deric has conceded 10 goals while saving 19 attempts at goal.
ELP: The Locomotive is currently the only team to be undefeated in the USL with a 4-0-3 record, boasting an 18-game regular season undefeated streak. Most recently, El Paso earned a 2-1 win over Real Monarchs on the road. As a visitor, the Locomotive has stolen seven points in three competitions thus far. El Paso's goal is well protected with both Logan Ketterer and Adrian Zendejas. Ketterer, being the first keeper, has totaled eight saves while conceding three goals and kept one clean sheet. Diego Luna and Macauley King lead the squad with two goals each while King leads with two assists. Luis Solignac has been able to create 10 chances for El Paso with Diego Luna, Eder Borelli and King all creating nine opportunities each.
