OTTAWA, ON - Atlético Ottawa returns to Canadian Premier League (CPL) action on Sunday, taking on Valour FC at TD Place (KO 2pm ET, live on OneSoccer). After a record-breaking victory against Valour in mid-week TELUS Canadian Championship action, Ottawa seeks to reproduce a strong performance to remain undefeated in the CPL as we celebrate Cinco de Mommy - the perfect combination between Mother's Day celebrations and Cinco de Mayo festivities. Presented by La Catrina Churros.

Here's everything you need to know before Sunday's clash in Ottawa.

Atlético Ottawa is unbeaten at the start of the 2024 CPL season (2-1-0).

Ottawa returns from a clash in Nova Scotia last weekend, besting Halifax Wanderers in their Home Opener.

Midfielder Manny Aparicio scored his second goal of the campaign, whilst Ballou Tabla (first goal since his return to the club) and Rubén del Campo (first goal for the club) also found the back of the net.

Local stars Matteo de Brienne and Kris Twardek produced assists, as well as exciting u21 talent Gabriel Antinoro.

This was the debut of The "Soccer Culture" Kit, created in collaboration with Ottawa Tourism and celebrating people of influence within the Ottawa soccer community.

This week saw the start of Ottawa's 2024 TELUS Canadian Championship campaign, as Atleti recorded a record-breaking win against Valour FC (7-0).

Atlético will face Pacific FC in the two-legged quarter-final, starting in Ottawa next Wednesday (May 8) at TD Place (KO 7pm ET, live on OneSoccer).

The #CanChamp is Canada's premier cup competition comprising of semi-professional teams from League1 Canada, CPL and MLS.

Goalkeeper Rayane Yesli secured his first clean sheet for the club in the mid-week TELUS Canadian Championship match.

Goalkeeper Nathan Ingham is due to return to the starting line-up this weekend.

New Spanish defender Dani Morer made his debut in midweek having joined the club on Tuesday.

Local product Tyr Walker came off the bench for his second appearance at TD Place.

Valour has proven to be a difficult foe for Atlético over the last few years.

Ottawa lost only once to Valour in 2023, however, the late-season defeat was costly as they missed out on the playoffs.

Ollie Bassett is the highest active scorer in this match-up (four goals).

Valour continues a long road trip away from Winnipeg (MB) at the start of this season, as work continues on the Princess Auto Stadium (0-0-3).

Record head-to-head (all-time): 5W-3D-6L; 21 goals scored, 21 goals conceded.
