In 140 Characters or Less: The Bees try to salvage the final game of their series with the Long Island Ducks! First pitch 6:35PM!

Series: The Ducks have taken the first two games of this series with the Bees and have now won each of the last three meetings with New Britain.

Bees Home Tickets: Available at the New Britain Stadium Box Office | Call 860-826-BEES

The Bees: Jon Griffin continued his hot start to June with a 2-4 night in last night's game. He is hitting .385 (10-26) with three RBIs in seven games this month and has picked up multiple hits in four of those seven games.

The Opposition: Outfielder Anthony Vega has stung Bees' pitchers hard so far in this series. The New York native has driven in five runs through the first two games of the series, three of which came on a home run last night. In the month of June, Vega is hitting .333 (15-45) with ten RBIs.

Starters

New Britain- RHP Shawn Haviland (2-1, 3.76) | Long Island- RHP Mark Blackmar (4-1, 2.02)

Key to the Game - End the streak: Shawn Haviland- tonight's starting pitcher for the Bees- will certainly help the Bees' snap their five-game skid if he duplicates his past two outings for a third straight time. In each of his last two starts, the Middletown native allowed just one run in seven innings against Southern Maryland and Bridgeport, with the Bees winning both of those games.

Broadcast: Bees' Official YouTube Channel (youtube.com/NewBritainBees).

Bees Buzz: Reliever Craig Stem has allowed only one run in six innings this season against Long Island (including tossing a scoreless inning in last night's game)...Greg Golson extended his consecutive games-on-base streak to 16 straight...Jovan Rosa is just three hits away from reaching 700 for his professional career...
