Presidential Election Year Spawns Birth of Crunch Party

Syracuse, NY (September 20, 2012) -- Americans sick and tired of the all-talk, no-action Republican and Democratic parties will have the chance to join the one party that is all about action - the Syracuse Crunch Party.

The team announced today that during this 2012 presidential election cycle the War Memorial will be nicknamed the House of (cam)PAIGN, paying homage to the 2007-08 season when the arena was named the House of Pain.

The Crunch Party, the only true party that knows how to "party," is open to people of all shapes, sizes, races and ages and is expecting to feature a team of players representing seven countries.

Fans can join the party by registering on www.syracusecrunch.com. All registered party members will be entered for a chance to win an authentic 2012-13 jersey. The winner will be announced at the Crunch Convention on Oct. 10 from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m.. The Crunch Convention is the first chance for party supporters to meet the 2012-13 team, skate on the House of (cam)PAIGN ice and is an opportunity for season ticket holders to pick-up their ticket booklets.

The party will be presenting its platform over the next several weeks, leading up to the Oct. 13 home opener against the Hershey Bears.

Tickets for the 2012-13 Crunch campaign are now on sale and can be purchased by calling the Crunch office at (315) 473-4444, or by stopping by the Crunch office in the War Memorial Arena located at 800 South State Street in downtown Syracuse.
