Bangor, ME- The first shipment of caps in Bangor Lumberjack history has arrived at the team store in the Bangor Mall, the Northeast League club announced. The arrival was delayed due to production limitations of national suppliers.
"The hats have been flying off the shelves since we starting selling them on Tuesday. We have seven different styles and our hope was having that many choices would spur sales. So far we have been right," states Jacks General Manager, Curt Jacey.
The opening of the space was originally announced at the club's press conference on Friday, January 24 when the team revealed its new name, logo, and field manager for the upcoming 2003 Northeast League season. The space is located in the former Foot Locker, across from Ruby Tuesday's, near J.C. Penney in the Bangor Mall.
The store hours will follow the hours of the Bangor Mall; 9 AM-9 PM Monday-Saturday, and 11 AM-6 PM on Sundays.
The Lumberjacks open the 2003 campaign on the road against the Allentown (PA) Ambassadors on Thursday, May 22, but return to Bangor for the home opener on Friday, May 30 at 7 PM against the New Jersey Jackals at Mahaney Diamond.
