Preds re-sign Moore

Orlando, Fla. (February 8, 2006) -- WR/LB Lamont Moore, who began his Arena Football League career with the Orlando Predators, has re-signed with the team.

Moore, 30, played three seasons with the Predators in a back-up role from 2001-03. He was selected by the New Orleans VooDoo during the 2003 expansion draft and played two seasons with that club.

He went to training camp with the Kansas City Brigade this past year, where he was waived during the pre-season. In his career, Moore has compiled 147 career receptions for 1,491 yards and 23 touchdowns on offense, to go with 116 total tackles, 10 pass defenses, four interceptions and seven tackles-for-loss on defense. He also has four forced fumbles, four fumble recoveries, and three rushing touchdowns to his credit.

Moore's best year in the AFL came in 2004, when he caught a career-high 61 passes for 624 yards and five touchdowns. He added 46 receptions for 366 yards and nine touchdowns last season.

In other personnel moves, the Predators signed lineman Delanio Taylor to its practice squad. The 6-2, 300-lb. Taylor went to camp with the Predators this year, but was waived in the final cut down. He played the last two seasons in the "arenafootball2" league.
