Orlando, Fla. (Mar. 13) -- Playing at home with almost 13,000 fans in attendance, the Orlando Predators managed to post strong overnight ratings in the Central Florida market according to Nielsen ratings.

The Predators averaged a 1.85 rating overall from the 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. time slot, which translates into average of almost 26,000 homes in Central Florida. The ratings spiked in the second half with a 2.34 rating and more than 32,000 homes.

"For years the mainstream media have argued that outside of our season ticket base, no one in the Central Florida community really cares about Arena Football and the Predators," Team President Brett Bouchy said. "Once again, these television numbers prove the fallacy of that argument. On a night with 13,000 Predators fans were at the Amway Arena, we had another 25,000 homes watching us on television. That number is even more impressive who you consider our game was on cable, which only reaches about 70 percent of the Central Florida market."
