GAME NOTES

Trending Up

While both teams are currently rebuilding, the 67's and the Petes have both found recent success. The 67's have earned 5 out of a possible 6 points in their last 3 games and the Petes have earned 4 of 6 in their last 3 games. Some of the key players moving forward for Peteborough will be Greg Betzold, Jonatan Tanus and Nick Ritchie.

Changing Directions

This will be Jody Hull's first game vs. Ottawa as the head coach of the Petes. Peterborough decided to make a change behind the bench in December when they relieved Mike Pelino of his head coaching duties. Hull took over the Petes' head coaching duties after joining the team in 2010 for his second stint as an assistant coach. He previously worked with the club from 2005-2008, winning the OHL Championship in 2006. Hull played 831 NHL games for various teams.

Keep An Eye Out

The Petes are led by a pair of 5th round NHL picks in Michael Clarke (COL) and Clark Seymour (PIT). They also have Peter Ceresnak (6th Rd-NYR) and Derek Mathers (7th Rd -PHI). They have 2 players that cracked the top list of North American Skaters for Central Scouting Services mid-term rankings in Greg Betzgold and Stephen Nosad. Michael Guigovaz is the 8th ranked North American goalie in the CSS rankings.
