Pre-game Crawfish Boil at the Gold Mine on Airline

On Saturday, May 8 before the NOLA Gold vs. Houston Sabercats match, the NOLA Gold Foundation will be partnering with Celsi's Restaurant and Catering to throw a pre-game crawfish boil with live music in the Gold Mine parking lot.
Entry to the Crawfish boil is free with NOLA Gold game tickets-the event starts three hours before kick-off (12:00 pm). All proceeds from the boil will go towards the NOLA Gold Foundation's charitable causes.
May 8th is also the first annual "Louisiana Fire Day" at the Gold Mine. Children who play in the Louisiana Fire Youth Soccer League will receive free try-zone tickets if they wear their LA Fire jerseys to the game. Parents of Louisiana Fire Youth Soccer players will receive $10 discounted tickets.
Last week, the NOLA Gold beat the Toronto Arrows 22-14 in their first international matchup at the Gold Mine. The Arrows came out hot-scoring 14 points in the first half. The Gold was able to bounce back, scoring 22 points in the second half while holding their opponent to zero.
Julian "Chicken Man" Dominguez who scored two tries in the game-Man of the Match-had this to say about the win over Toronto:
"It feels really good...especially after losing in Atlanta. We really needed to come back home and get this [win] for our fans...I don't really think about it [Man of the Match]...it's all about the team, and today I was just the one who got lucky...I couldn't have done it without my teammates."
After this Saturday's match against Houston, the Gold will hit the road to play the Legion in San Diego on May 15. The next NOLA Gold home match will be against the Utah Warriors on May 22, at 7:00 pm. Prior to the game, Hogs for the Cause will be hosting a 10 team "Pig-Tailgate" cook-off. Whatever is cooked will be available for purchase. NOLA vs Utah tickets will cover admission to this event.
