BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - Craig Macdonald's wrap-around goal with 22 seconds remaining in the second period proved to be the difference as the Bloomington PrairieThunder earned a 2-1 victory over Quad City at U.S. Cellular Coliseum before 3,256 people Saturday night in International Hockey League action.

The triumph moved the PrairieThunder's record to 11-7-1-2 (25 points) ahead of Wednesday's 7:05 p.m. home game against Quad City. The Mallards' record dropped to 5-10-2-1 (13 points).

Jamie Carroll got the PrairieThunder on the scoreboard first with 14:46 remaining in the first period off assists by Jason Lepine and Macdonald.

Chris Lipsett tied the game with 7:14 left in the second period off assists by Ryan Fultz and Patrick Levesque. Macdonald then delivered the game-winner on assists by Jason Sawyer and Jon Booras.

Bloomington outshot the Mallards, 25-23, with Andrew Martin earning the win in net for Bloomington by stopping 22 of 23 shots. Kyle Jones was the losing goalie.
