Bloomington PrairieThunder News Release

International Hockey League officials confirmed Monday that the Bloomington PrairieThunder established a professional hockey league record at all levels for the four fastest goals scored by one team Saturday when it scored four times in a 35-second span during the first period in a 9-4 win at Flint.

The previous IHL record was four goals in 52 seconds, set in 1953 by the Toledo Mercurys. The Boston Bruins of the NHL scored four goals during an 80-second span in a game in 1945.

Jon Booras started the PrairieThunder scoring streak when he found the net on a power play goal off assists from Leo Thomas and Don Parsons with 10:33 remaining in the first period. John Nail scored eight seconds later off an assist from Adam Edinger.

That was followed by a goal by Neil Clark 12 seconds later off an assist by Nail. The fourth and final goal came 15 seconds later from Brett Holmberg with assists to Kyle McCullough and Booras.

All of the goals were even-strength goals except the first one by Booras.
