
PrairieThunder reach 100,000th fan

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. - Normal resident David Gemberling was recognized as the 100,000th fan to attend a Bloomington PrairieThunder hockey game in the franchise's first year Sunday at U.S. Cellular Coliseum.
Gemberling, 2015 N. Lambert Dr., was attending the United Hockey League game with his son, David, and his daughter, Katie. He received a PrairieThunder gift bag full or team souvenirs, including a 10-game season fan pass for the 2007-08 campaign.
The PrairieThunder have drawn 102,789 for 28 home games, an average of 3,671. That ranks third in the UHL where the average per game is 3,386.
