March 27, 2009- Spokane, WA: The Spokane Shock announced today that QB Blake Powers has been traded to the Mahoning Valley Thunder for future considerations.
Powers appeared in the Shock's preseason 35-28 win over the Arkansas Twisters and completed all four of his pass attempts for 46 yards.
After today's trade, the final two QB's on the roster are: 2nd-year veteran Nick Davila and rookie Blake Hansen.
The Shock will open the 2009 regular season next week on April 3rd as they host the Stockton Lightning at 7 PM on Spokane Tribe Field at the Spokane Arena.
