Summerside Storm News Release
(Summerside, PE) The Oshawa Power came back from a 20 point deficit at halftime to beat the Summerside STORM 117-114 Sunday afternoon in Summerside before 1,834 fans. The STORM continue to lead the Atlantic Division of the NBL at 15-10.
Nick Okorie led the Power attack with 32 points. For the STORM, Antonio Ballard had another double-double with 28 points and 12 rebounds while Brandon Robinson scored 20.
The next action for the STORM comes up this Thursday at 7pm when the Central Division leading London Lightning visit Summerside for the first time this year in a battle of NBL Division leaders. The STORM also play Friday night at home at 7:00pm against the Halifax Rainmen.
Tonight's 50/50 winner was Vanessa Papineau of Summerside who took home half the $3,062.00 pot. Denis Jacques was the winner of the Fly PEI/Travel Store "Shoot to Win" and qualified for a trip to the Dominican Republic in March.
