Moncton Beat Rainmen in Halifax

(HALIFAX, NS) The Halifax Rainmen returned to their home court in front of 3213 fans Sunday afternoon only to lose a heart breaker over the Moncton Miracles 107 -98

The Rainmen built up a 17 point halftime win which took Moncton only four minutes into the third quarter to tie up the game. Moncton took the lead late into the third quarter and never looked back to gain their fourth win in a row.

Moncton was lead by Darrell Wonge who had a game high 23 points, followed by Hermon Favors with 18, Issac Butts with 18 points and 14 rebounds Devin Sweetney 16 points, and Oliver Mcnally finished with 12 points.

The Rainmen attack was lead by Hillary Haley with 18, followed by Cedric Moodie 17, who had five three pointers all in the first half, Quinnel Brown with 14, and Melvin Goins chipped in with 12 points.

The Rainmen are back in action again at home Thursday night at 7 pm vs the Windsor Express.
