
Power Staff Member Honored

The South Atlantic League has announced the selection of its 2014 Outstanding Achievement Awards and Adam Marco has been tabbed for one such honor. Marco has been named as the league's Media Relations Director of the Year from a poll conducted by league officials, team owners, team presidents, general managers and field managers. The South Atlantic League announced this and 11 other awards on September 2, 2014, including Club Merit, Club Community Service and Female Executive of the Year.
Marco, a native of Leechburg, PA, has just completed his fifth season with the West Virginia Power. During the first four seasons, his role with the organization included group and sponsorship sales in addition to handling the club's media relations and serving as the team's radio broadcaster. In 2014, Marco added the Power's marketing position to his list of responsibilities.
"It is an honor to be recognized by the league and all the people who voted for these awards," Marco said. "There are a number of extremely talented people in a similar roles with their clubs and I'm thrilled to be singled out of a tremendous crop of diligent and dedicated contemporaries."
