In the 2nd quarter, the Power got a huge lift from Omar Strong, who scored 15 points in the quarter. Strong was able to convert on three triples in addition to splitting the defense for a floater. The Power outscored the Express 30-24, taking a 52-50 lead into the half.

The Express and the Power would exchange leads in the 3rd quarter as both teams were looking to gain control of the game. Tyrone Garland knocked down two three pointers in the last minutes of the quarter to help the Power take their largest lead of the quarter into the final frame, 78-73.

The Power were able to take advantage of multiple lapses in the Windsor defense at the start of the 4th quarter. Marcus Capers converted on two slam dunks in the first three minutes to help the Power build a six point lead, the Power's largest of the game. The Power stayed aggressive, scoring off of back door cuts by both Tyrone Garland and Marcus Capers to keep the Express at arm's distance. In the final 30 seconds of the game, Brian Oliver was able to find Marcus Capers behind the defense for a layup to give the Power a four point lead with just ten seconds remaining. Tony Bennett quickly knocked down a three for the Express followed by a steal by Ryan Anderson who found Quinnel Brown for a layup to give the Express a one point lead. Omar Strong miraculously scored on a half court desperation three pointer but was waved off as the buzzer had gone and the Express escaped with the one point victory.
