Mississauga Power News Release
(Mississauga, ON - ) The Mississauga Power took on the Ottawa SkyHawks at home tonight, looking to snap a season worse 11 game losing streak. The SkyHawks shut down the Power early in the fourth to take the 100-98 win. Greg Plummer dropped in 28 points with 6 assists in his home debut while Morgan Lewis added 24 points and 13 rebounds. Jamie Vanderbeken and Ryan Anderson had 18 apiece for the SkyHawks.
The teams were dead even through three quarters. The teams ended the first and second quarters in a tie, heading into the half 48-48. It was much of the same story in the third as both teams caught fire offensively, the Power took a one point lead headed to the final quarter.
The SkyHawks went on an early 14-2 run in the final quarter, the Power battled back, going on a run of their own but it would not be enough as the team now falls to 7-21 for the season.
The Power head to Moncton and Halifax this weekend to face the Miracles and the Rainmen respectively before returning home on January 25th to take on the London Lightning.
