
Powell To Miss All-Star Game

PORTLAND, March 12, 2008 - Due to an ankle injury sustained last weekend against the Calgary Roughnecks, Portland LumberJax forward Ryan Powell will be unable to play in Sunday's National Lacrosse League All-Star Game. Powell will be replaced by Edmonton Rush forward Dan Stroup.
The time off will allow Powell to rest and prepare for when the Jax return to action on March 20 against the Colorado Mammoth at 7:30 p.m. at the Rose Garden Arena.
In his third season in Portland, Powell has continued to pace the offensive line. He leads the team with 27 assists, is second with 42 points and third with 15 goals scored. He's also the franchise leader in points (134) and assists (84) and second all-time with 50 goals.
