New York Titans Set For Round Two In Toronto

Orlando Titans News Release

New York, NY -- The New York Titans (4-5) of the National Lacrosse League are set to take on the Toronto Rock (5-3) at the Air Canada Centre on Friday, March 14 at 7:30pm for the second time this season.

Coming off a bye-week this past weekend, the Titans are well rested after a tough loss to Philadelphia on February 29 that snapped their three-game winning streak.

"We had seven of nine games on the road to start the season, so having a bye-week was well timed," said Titans head coach Adam Mueller. "It gave the guys with nagging injuries a little time to rest up and we'll be going into Toronto with everyone healthy."

The Titans played the Rock earlier in the season on January 26 and suffered a 14-10 loss. After dominating the five-time Champion Rock during the first half, the Titans lost their focus and were out scored 11-2 in the second half.

"We played about as good a half as we could play and we entered the second half and it was a complete 180," Mueller said about the game against the Rock on January 26. "Since then we've improved on staying strong during runs by opposing teams. This season is about weathering the adversity of other teams' runs. We're 2-2 in games where we've entered the fourth quarter with a tight score and we need to consistently find ways to pull out wins in those tough fourth quarters."

The Titans match against the Rock will be broadcast live via the internet on B2Networks, which can be accessed by logging onto www.nytitans.com.

The Titans next game is on Saturday, March 22 at the Sovereign Bank Arena in Trenton, NJ against the Philadelphia Wings at 7:30pm.
