Philadelphia Wings News Release

The Philadelphia Fire and Police Academies will put Wings players through training drills to prepare them for "American Heroes Night" when the NLL leading Wings (6-1) take on the San Jose Stealth at the Wachovia Center on Friday, March 14 at 8 p.m. Wings players Athan Iannucci and Rob Van Beek will start off at the Fire Academy to participate in firefighter drills and then head to nearby Police Academy to learn what it takes to be a part of Philadelphia's finest.

To represent Philadelphia's heroes at Friday's game, Philadelphia Fire Commissioner Lloyd Ayers will drop the opening ball. Individual tickets for all Philadelphia Wings home games are on-sale now at www.wingslax.com, via ComcastTIX at 1-800-289-4200, or at the Wachovia Complex Box Office.

Athan Iannucci (a.k.a.: Philadelphia's new A.I.) is currently the National Lacrosse League's leading goal scorer with 35 goals. In only his second season in the NLL, Iannucci is on pace to shatter the current record of goals scored in a single season, 61, held by Gary Gait.
