WILMINGTON - The Delaware Blue Coats (16-6), the NBA G League affiliate of the Philadelphia 76ers, beat the Long Island Nets (16-10), 130-120 on Saturday night at Chase Fieldhouse. This is the fourth win in a row for Delaware and the team has won 8 of its last 10. Six Blue Coats scored in double-figures.
Two-way player Myles Powell fueled Delaware with 33 points (12-22 FG, 3-6 3FG, 3-3 FT) and 3 assists. Powell dropped 39 points in Thursday's win at Lakeland. Charles Bassey, on assignment from the 76ers, recorded 20 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 blocks.
Aaron Henry put up 15 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 steals for the Blue Coats. Delaware's Braxton Key added 16 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 assists.
Shaquille Harrison notched a double-double for the Blue Coats with 13 points and 10 assists. Delaware's Shamorie Ponds poured in 15 points, 6 assists, and 4 rebounds.
Delaware broke 100 points through 3 quarters, scoring 109 points heading into the final frame. The Blue Coats scored at least 130 points for the sixth time in 2022.
Craig Randall II caught fire for Long Island with a game-high 48 points (19-31 FG, 8-15 3FG) and 8 assists. Day'Ron Sharpe posted a double-double with 18 points, 13 rebounds, and 4 assists for the Nets.
