Potomac Nationals 2016 Game Notes vs. Carolina Mudcats

After a rainout Tuesday night, the Potomac Nationals (19-16) will host the Carolina Mudcats (15-21) in a doubleheader Wednesday night at Pfitzner Stadium. Three of the four games in the Carolina League got rained out on Tuesday, as the P-Nats remain five games back of division leading Lynchburg.

In game one, RHP Luis Reyes (2-2, 3.90) is set to make his second straight start vs. Carolina. Reyes allowed two earned runs on five hits over six innings in a no-decision on 5/12. Opposite Reyes, RHP Enderson Franco will make his second consecutive start vs. Potomac. Also on 5/12, Franco allowed two earned runs on five hits over seven innings, his longest outing of the season.

In game two, RHP Greg Ross (0-1, 1.42) will make his second start of the season for the P-Nats. Ross has primarily pitched out of the bullpen in 2016. For Carolina, RHP Zach Quintana (1-3, 4.76) will make his second start of 2016. Like Ross, Quintana has pitched almost entirely out of the pen this season.

First pitch of game one is set for 5:00pm. Game two will be approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of game one. Both games are scheduled for seven innings.
