On Wednesday, the New York Liberty (1-2) fell to the Indiana Fever (2-2), 92-86, in the first game of their 2022 three-game season series.
At Barclays Center, the Liberty finished on 36.2% (29-80) shooting from the field, 40.0% (10-25) from three, and 85.7% (18-21) at the free throw line.
The Liberty played their first overtime game since May 29, 2021 against the Atlanta Dream.

Sabrina Ionescu led the Liberty's scoring with 31 points on an efficient 55.0% (11-20) from the field and 50.0% (5-10) from deep along with seven assists and three rebounds. Ionescu's 31-point performance was her second-highest career game.
Betnijah Laney recorded 16 points on a perfect 100% (2-2) from deep along with seven rebounds and three rebounds in her 2022 debut at Barclays Center.
Stefanie Dolson totaled her first double-digit scoring performance with New York, adding 12 points on 45.4% (5-11) from the field.
