
Portland Thunder Announce 2015 Schedule

PORTLAND- The Portland Thunder is pleased to announce its 2015 AFL season schedule.
"I am excited to release our 2015 schedule," stated Team President Brian Sandy. "A lot of hard work has been put into preparing for our second season, and our goal is to provide a product that our fans find even more exciting and entertaining than the first."
The Thunder will host nine games of its 18 game schedule from the Moda Center, as it begins its second year in the Arena Football League. The team will kickoff the 2015 season at home against conference foes, the Los Angeles Kiss, on Friday, March 27th, at 7:00pm The start of the 2015 campaign will be marked by two major promotions; including the inaugural Thunder 'Can Opener' food drive benefiting Oregon Food Bank and a Darron Thomas bobble-head giveaway.
The Thunder will play each of its first three games at home, featuring the first visit from the Tampa Bay Storm in week two, and the regional rival Spokane Shock in week three.
The 2015 slate also features home and away series against the Thunder's fellow Pacific Division teams, the Shock, and the San Jose SaberCats, along with National Conference opponents, the Arizona Rattlers, the Kiss, and the debutante Las Vegas Outlaws.
All home games will kickoff at 7:00 PM, with the exception of Portland's match-up with San Jose on Saturday, May 30th, which will kickoff at 3:00pm.
The Thunder schedule incorporates two east coast road trips, with visits to the Philadelphia Soul and the Orlando Predators in week six and nine respectively. The trips will mark the Thunder's first match ups with both Philadelphia and Orlando, as they did not meet in 2014.
