Portland ABA team looking for three players
Published on December 23, 2004 under American Basketball Association (ABA) News Release
Portland, OR. The ABA Portland professional basketball team today announced that they are looking for three players to fill out their roster due to vacancies created by call-ups. According to Terry Emmert, team co-owner, "This is quite unusual; we were really beginning to jell and feel comfortable with our team. And now, we're looking for a good center and two forwards. Hopefully available players read the ABA website and other basketball websites, will see this announcement and give us a call. We have a little Christmas break, come back in early January - so we'd like to find some really good players. While we hope we can get some from the area, the best will make the squad." Note: OurSports Central no longer actively covers the American Basketball Association (ABA) as a professional league due in part to its inability to publish and play a schedule and the transitory nature of many of its teams.
