ABA adds Delaware to 2005 roster of expansion teams

Indianapolis, IN. Joe Newman, ABA CEO, today announced that a team in Delaware will be added to the growing list of teams scheduled to begin play in November 2005. According to Newman, "Delaware is the perfect link between our teams in NY, NJ and Pennsylvania and Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina and south. We are really happy to have a team there and especially happy with the ownership group. Talk about experience and ability. They are terrific."

The Delaware team will be a joint venture between Game Plan Sports, Inc. and Sports Franchise Acquisition Corporation. The team will be headed by well-known basketball entepreneur, Edward Meyers, Founder and CEO of Game Plan Sports, Inc. Ed has over twenty-five years experience conceiving, developing and implementing strategies and programs for college and universities, athletes and corporate grassroots organizations. He has worked closely with NIKE, Inc in the development of its Grassroots Basketball Program, including developing and managing the world famous NIKE Peach Jam, the crown jewel tournament in the Nike series. He has also worked with the National Basketball Players Association (NBPA) which helps players develop fundamental skills and establish their careers and has coached at Tennesse State University, George Washington University, Boston University, and Old Dominion.

Meyers added, "I am extremely excited about this opportunity to be a part of the ABA. It is providing a tremendous opportunity for players. We will make Delaware proud."
