Port Huron Falls to Johnstown in Overtime, 4-3

The Johnstown Tomahawks' Shane Bednard scored 1:06 into overtime to beat the Port Huron Fighting Falcons, 4-3 (OT).

Johnstown came back from a two-goal deficit to capture the victory. The Tomahawks was down 2-0 after a power play goal by Port Huron's Logan Lambdin at 14 seconds in the second period. Johnstown knotted things up at 3-3 on a power play goal by Bednard at 6:14 in the third period.

Bednard was all over the ice for the Tomahawks, as he tallied two goals and one assist in the win.

Johnstown put 45 shots on net during the contest, more than the 23.7 it averages per game.

Johnstown additionally got points from Omar Mullan, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Brandon Reinholz also scored for Johnstown. Other players who recorded assists for Johnstown were Josh Bowes, who had one.

The Fighting Falcons failed to reach their usual level of shot production, putting 18 pucks on goal after averaging 23.5 shots per game this season.

Port Huron also got a goal from Noah Batis as well. In addition, Port Huron received assists from Nick Le Sage, Jonathan Kopacka, Alex Archibald, Austin Romzek, Lucas Little, and Joey Lindberg, who contributed one a piece.

Jake Moore made 15 saves for the Tomahawks on 18 shots. Johnstown incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Max Milosek recorded 41 saves for Port Huron. The Fighting Falcons incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
