Idaho Steelheads News Release
Boise, ID (4/15/14) - Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Brad Ralph announced the playoff roster for the Idaho Steelheads. The 2014 ECHL Kelly Cup Playoffs, presented by KeyBank, begin on Friday when Idaho hosts Colorado for Game 1 of a best-of-seven series at CenturyLink Arena.
The roster:
Goaltenders (2) - Josh Robinson, Pat Nagle
Defensemen (8) - Patrick Cullity, Damon Kipp, Russ Sinkewich, Ryan Button, Charlie Dodero, Dalton Reum, Eamonn McDermott, Scott Czarnowczan
Forwards (13) - Mitch Wahl, Tommy Grant, William Rapuzzi, David deKastrozza, Luke Judson, Justin Mercier, Gaelan Patterson, Jason Bast, Anthony Nigro, Brett Robinson, Rob Linsmayer, Brock Montgomery, Andrew Conboy
That puts Idaho at the 23-man playoff limit, meaning no players will be added once the postseason begins on Friday, barring emergency conditions. Nigro, Montgomery and Button will open the playoffs on the team's reserve list.
Emergency conditions shall be established when the playing strength of the Member, by reason of injury, illness, recall or suspension by the League, is reduced below two (2) goalkeepers and sixteen (16) skaters. However, should a Member release a Player(s) from its Playoff Roster, its emergency conditions will drop by the same number as the Players they release. Only amateur Players may be signed and added to the Active Roster under emergency conditions.
Single-game tickets for Games 1 & 2 of Idaho's first-round playoff series against Colorado are on sale now by calling the CenturyLink Arena box office at 208-331-8497. Subsequent games will go on sale once it is determined that the games will be played.
