
Playoff Bid Over For Gems As Cowlitz Wins In 11th Inning, 4-3

Longview, WA: August 6, 2013. The Gems playoffs hopes ended on Wednesday night in Longview, WA as an RBI single by Cowlitz in the 11th inning gave the Black Bears a 4-3 win at Story Field.
Ryan Clark (UC Santa Barbara) had the only Gems RBI's on a two run single as both Jack Karraker (Fresno City College) and Dylan Rogers (Oregon Tech) chipped in with two hits each in the defeat. Both Cowlitz and the Gems share 5th place in the South Division with identical 25-25 records on the year. Campbell Wear took the loss in relief for the Gems and the Black Bears Tyler Wilson earned his first victory in 2013.
