MANCHESTER, NH - The Manchester Monarchs, the primary affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, will open the 2008-09 Training Camp with players reporting for physicals on Thursday, October 2 and the team will hit the ice for the first time on Friday, October 3 from 10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. at Tri-Town Ice Arena, Monarchs Director of Hockey Operations Hubie McDonough announced today.
The 2008-09 Monarchs Training Camp will continue with the team practicing at Sullivan Arena on the campus of Saint Anselm College on Saturday, October 4 from 4:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. followed by their lone preseason game against the Worcester Sharks at the Wallace Civic Arena in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 5. On-ice practice will continue at Tri-Town Ice Arena on Monday, October 6 and Tuesday, October 7 from 10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Training camp practices at both Tri-Town Ice Arena and Sullivan Arena will be open to the public.
The time is now to join one of the biggest, loudest and proudest families in the AHL! The Monarchs open their eighth season in the AHL on the road with 7:00 p.m. contests in Portland on Saturday, October 11 and Lowell on Friday, October 17.
