Play Postponed in F&M Bank High School Baseball Classic

KANNAPOLIS, N.C. (April 4, 2013) -- Play has been postponed at the F&M Bank High School Baseball Classic at CMC-NorthEast Stadium, home of the Kannapolis Intimidators, today due to wet grounds. Games will resume on Friday at 1 p.m. with A.L. Brown facing West Rowan, followed by Mt. Pleasant vs. East Rowan at 4 p.m. and Concord vs. South Rowan at 7 p.m. All five games originally scheduled for Friday will now be played on Saturday at their same times.

The first two games of the day were played to completion, with Carson defeating Northwest Cabarrus, 8-2, and J.M. Robinson downing Salisbury, 9-1 (5). Rowan County is currently leading Cabarrus County, 5-2, in their quest to repeat as Classic Cup champions.

7 p.m. - Northwest Cabarrus vs. East Rowan

The Kannapolis Intimidators open their season on the road this evening in Lakewood, N.J., against the Lakewood BlueClaws. The team's home opener is a week from today -- Thursday, April 11 at 7:05 p.m. -- against the Hickory Crawdads.
