Pittsburgh RiverRats Defensive Back Headed to NFL Europe

Pittsburgh RiverRats Defensive Back Mike Ford has been selected by Hamburg in the NFL Europe Free Agent Draft. Ford was selected in the 14th round of the 2007 draft.

Ford a 6'2 185pound defensive back from Duquesne University played in the first two games of the season for the expansion Pittsburgh RiverRats of the American Indoor Football Association.

"I am very happy for Mike and the opportunity that he has received in NFL Europe. I know with his talent and work ethic that he will impress over there this season and continue to progress with his career. The Pittsburgh RiverRats are very pleased when our players are given the opportunity to move-up the ranks, and I think it is a positive reflection of our players and the organization here in Pittsburgh," commented Head Coach Shawn Liotta.
