Williamsport Crosscutters News Release
The Williamsport Crosscutters received strong pitching, which was backed in the 2nd game, in their doubleheader split with the West Virginia BlackBears at home.
The Crosscutters were held to a season-low two hits in their 2-0 loss in game one. Jose Conopoima allowed 2 runs, both earned, in 3.0 innings of work.
Williamsport collected a season-high nine hits in their 4-0 win in game two. Taylor Lehman worked 4.0 shutout innings, striking out seven. Jake Kinney and Abdallah Aris combined for 3.0 innings of shutout relief, striking out four.
Seth Lancaster finished the night 2 for 2 with a double, a RBI and a run scored. Corbin Williams went 2 for 3 with a double and a run scored and Juan Aparicio went 2 for 3 with a RBI and a run scored in game two.
The Crosscutters went 3-1 against the BlackBears in a pair of doubleheaders in 2018.
