Evansville Otters News Release
Marion, IL - Another classic pitchers duel in Marion tonight goes the way of the home team. The Otters notched just one run, a solo homerun from Matt Reynolds, the first of his professional career, and fell to the Miners by a final of 2-1.
Scott Souther pitched a great game, throwing seven innings, allowing just two runs on six hits, but the offense left 10 stranded on the bases, and rolled into three double-plays, including the final outs recorded in the ninth with runners on the corners. Evansville is back in action tomorrow at 7:05.
It's Thirsty Thursday as the Otters host division leading Gateway in the first of a four game set at Bosse Field.
