WORCESTER, MA - Massachusetts Pirates wide receiver Teo Redding is on his way to the USLF. Redding was selected with the eighth pick in the eighth round of the league's supplemental draft by the Houston Gamblers.

Redding appeared in the Pirates 30 to 27 home opening win against the Frisco Fighters at Phoenix Field at the DCU Center this past Saturday night. In the game he had three receptions for 17 yards. Redding joined the reigning Champions of the Indoor Football League after being a member of the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League last season.

For Redding, who hails from Warren, MI, this will be his fifth professional league. He played five games in the XFL in 2020 for the New York Guardians posting eight receptions for 102 yards. His best performance was in a 30-12 win over Dallas where he had three catches for 46 yards.

The 6'1", 180 lb. wideout played collegiately at Bowling Green University and was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Detroit Lions of the National Football League in 2018. That same season he spent time on the practice squads of the Washington Football Team and the Green Bay Packers.

At Bowling Green, the communications major played in 44 games earning 19 starts. Redding totaled 84 receptions for 1,328 yards and 14 touchdowns. In 2017 as a senior, Redding earned Second Team All-MAC honors as in 11 games he posted career bests in receptions with 45, receiving yards with 624, and touchdowns, finding the endzone eight times which lead the team.
