WEEK IN REVIEW

Friday, April 5th : Portland 4, at Manchester 2

The Pirates clinched the first ever VIP Cup with a 4-2 win over the Manchester Monarchs. Mike Lee stopped 24 shots and Phil Lane scored twice for the Pirates to lead them to victory. Portland won the VIP Cup with a 7-5 record vs. Manchester this season.

Sunday, April 7th : Springfield 4, Portland 2

The Springfield Falcons clinched the Northeast Division title with a 4-2 victory over the Pirates in Portland. Andy Miele scored twice for the Pirates in the loss, with Mike Lee making 29 saves on 33 shots. 3 different Falcons had multipoint games for Springfield.

THIS COMING WEEK

Tuesday, April 9th at St. John's (6 PM)

The Pirates travel to the Rock to face St. John's for a two game series beginning on Tuesday. Puck drop is set for 6 PM. The Pirates lead the season series 4-2.

Wednesday, April 10th at St. John's (6 PM)

Portland will wrap up their 2 game road trip to St. John's and the season series on Wednesday. Puck drop is set for 6 PM.

Sunday, April 14th vs. Hershey (4:00 PM)

The Pirates will return home Sunday to face the Hershey Bears on Sunday. It will be Team Awards night, presented be Creative Awards, following the game. Puck drop is set for 4 PM. This will be the first time the Pirates will face Joel Rechlicz since he was traded to the Bears last week.

SALTY PETE'S PIRATES OF THE WEEK

1) Andy Miele had an assist on Friday night and 2 goals on Sunday to run his point streak to 4 games. During that stretch, Miele has 4 goals and 4 assists

2) Phil Lane scored twice against Manchester on Friday night, the second time that he's scored two goals in a game in his professional career (both against the Monarchs)

3) Justin Feser tallied his first professional point, an assist, on Friday night in his first professional game
