Peoria Rough Riders News Release

PEORIA (Ill.) – The Peoria Pirates signed autographs at the Hometown Buffet, 5001 Big Hollow in Peoria, for fans of all ages Thursday evening. The entire team sported Pirates jerseys and signed team posters, t-shirts and other memorabilia. As part of "Family Night" at Hometown Buffet, children were given balloons and the opportunity to meet and take pictures with their favorite Pirate.

The Peoria Pirates host the Greensboro Prowlers Saturday, May 17 at 7:00pm. The Pirates are 2-4 and the Prowlers are 3-3. The Pirates are currently fourth in the National Midwest Division and the Prowlers are fourth in the American Atlantic Division. If Peoria beats Greensboro, the win would give the Pirates a 1-0 series record against the Prowlers and a 3-4 record for 2003. The win on Saturday night would also give Bruce Cowdrey his 19th win as Pirates' head coach.

Don't miss the opportunity to cheer your Pirates on to victory! Tickets for this week's game are available and may be purchased through the Peoria Civic Center Box Office, 309-673-3200.
