Pirates Make Statement Concerning Civic Center Bond

Portland, Maine - Portland Pirates Managing Owner/CEO, Brian Petrovek, released the following statement this evening concerning today's referendum to expand and renovate the Cumberland County Civic Center:

"It's a great day for both the region's, and for downtown Portland's, economy and quality of life," said Petrovek. "Special thanks to all those who worked tirelessly throughout the campaign to help insure this outcome, to those who generously supported our Political Action Committee effort, and most importantly, to the voters of Cumberland County who recognized the opportunity and believed in making this investment now.
