Major Event Tonight: Join the Pioneers team and dance team for a mid-season Pep Rally at the Grotto's Pizza by the Wyoming Valley Mall. Plan on bringing the family out for dinner and meet the team and maybe win a giveaway item! The fun starts at 8PM. Come to Grotto and join us in prank calling the coach's show which is broadcast LIVE at 8PM on WILK- 910 AM Scranton, 980 AM Wilkes-Barre and 1300 AM Hazleton. If you can't make it to the mid-season Pep Rally, call into the Coach's Show and talk to head coach Dean Cokinos live at (570) 883-0098.
Friday, May 30th: Join two members of the Pony Express at Whisky Business in Wilkes-Barre for celebrity bartending.
Friday, May 30th: Join Crockett and members of the dance team at the Greater Hazleton Health Alliance Member Appreciation Day.
Saturday, May 31st: The Pioneers are back on the road, this time facing the 4-3 Richmond Speed. Listen to all the action live on WILK- 910 AM Scranton, 980 AM Wilkes-Barre and 1300 AM Hazleton
Tuesday, June 3rd: (Closed to the Public) Mojave Creative and Zodiac Printing Read to Achieve event at Plymouth Elementary.
Major Event, Wednesday, June 4th: Join most of the Pioneers players and dance team at the Pocono Downs. Make an evening of the event. Each Wednesday, the Pocono Downs has $5.99 Prime Rib dinner at the VIP Lounge. And let's not forget about LIVE HARNESS RACING. Come out, meet some of the Pioneers and try your luck next Wednesday. Rain or shine the action is always LIVE at the Pocono Downs.
THE BIGGEST PROMOTION OF ALL TIME: The Pioneers, Weekender, WKRZ, Aja Salon and Day Spa, AAA Mid-Atlantic and Premiere Tanning have combined forces in an effort to find the most well-rounded, attractive, grounded and graceful woman in NEPA to be crowned Ms. Pioneer 2004. In addition to being crowned on the field during the final home game and participating in future team appearances, the winner receives oodles of prizes including: A weekend getaway from AAA Mid-Atlantic, a Day of Glamour from Aja Salon and Day Spa, free tanning from Premiere Tanning, season tickets for 2004, bonus prizes from the Weekender and WKRZ and MUCH MUCH more. If you are over 21 and interested in participating, watch for information in the next two Weekenders and listen to Jumpin' Jeff Walker on WKRZ.
Next Home Game: The next home game is Friday, June 20th vs. the Rochester Brigade. Last time the Brigade was in Wilkes-Barre, the Pioneers dominated the game, winning 58-35. Fan Fest from 5-7 with NFL experience interactive games, music, food and more! The giveaway item is the Weekender Pony Express Dance Calendar.
