
Pioneers keep building team

Wilkes-Barre, PA- The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers are pleased to announce that Matthew Cutaia has been assigned to the team's 2006 roster by the af2 league office.
At the University of Connecticut, Cutaia recorded 81 receptions for 1,199 yards and 3 touchdowns. In 2004 he was ranked as the second receiver for his team averaging 12.4 yards per reception. The speedy wide receiver/defensive back recorded a hand held 40-yard time of 4.22.
"I evaluated him in an open workout in Cleveland," said Head Coach Rich Ingold. "He's the fastest guy I've ever seen in my life. With his speed I can see him doing great things in this league."
Cutaia graduated from the University of Connecticut in 2005 with a BS in History as well as a BS in Political Science. He excelled in the classroom as well as the football field being part of the National Honors Society, National Spanish Honors Society as well as given the Scholar Athlete Award and the Presidential Education Award.
The Pioneers are gearing up for their 2006 season. Season tickets are now on sale. Anyone interested in season tickets should contact the team's ticket sales office at either (570) 270-5811 or (570) 270-5813. Pioneers season tickets are available for as low as $40.
