Green Bay Blizzard News Release
The Green Bay Blizzard has announced their first open tryout for the 2006 season. The tryout will be held on Saturday, December 17 at the Finish Strong Indoor Sportsplex in Chicago, IL. There will be separate sessions; Session I will be for skill position players (QB, WR, FB, TE, LB, DB), and Session II will be for non-skill position players (OL, DL). Registration for Session I will begin at 7:30am, and the tryout will begin at 9:00am. Registration for Session II will begin at 9:30am, and the tryout will begin at 11:00am.
This tryout is not for kickers. Kickers will have a separate workout as the season draws nearer.
The cost of the tryout is $50 in advance, $75 at the door. Participants can pre-register with cash, check or money order at the Blizzard office, 1901 S. Oneida Street in Green Bay. To pre-register with MasterCard or Visa, contact the Blizzard office at (920) 405-1264. All pre-registrations must be received at the Blizzard office no later than 5:00pm on Thursday, December 15. Any registration form received after that will be charged the day-of fee of $75.
There will be members of the Chicago Rush coaching staff and NFL scouts on hand to assist in the tryout and evaluate talent.

The deadline to pre-register is 5:00pm on Thursday, December 15.
Participants will be required to sign a waiver prior to taking part in any activities.
Events will include:
* Measurement for height/weight
* 40-Yard Dash (timed at 20 and 40 yards)
* Bench Press (max reps) - 225/315
* 5/10/5 Pro Shuttle
* Vertical Leap
The tryout will be held indoors on SportTurf, not AstroTurf. Participants should wear comfortable shorts and t-shirts, and it is suggested that participants wear either 7-stud spikes or molded cleats, not traditional turf shoes.
